DEFENDERS Project Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
The Project Manager (PM) under supervision of a SR. Project Manager is responsible for managing small projects or phases of a larger project initiative. Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire life of the initiative through close. Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
Under the direction of the Manager of Project Management, perform all projects utilizing the tools and processes defined by Defenders PMO and in adherence with the SDLC
Manage Project Scope: In collaboration with stakeholders‐ plan scope management, collect requirements, define scope, create WBS, validate scope, and control scope
Manage Project Time & Resources: Acquire, develop, and manage team. Define and sequence activities, estimate resources, develop and manage schedule
Manage Project Communication & Stakeholders: Plan, manage, control all project communication
Identify stakeholders, plan stakeholder management, manage and control stakeholder engagement
Manage Project Risk: Plan risk management, identify risks, perform qualitative/quantitative risk analysis, plan risk responses, and control risk
Manage Project Quality: Plan quality management, perform quality assurance, and control quality
Assist with advising managers and teams on the best use of project management disciplines and approaches and assist as a reference point for any new project inquiries
Share lessons learned and best practices across projects/programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels
Education : Bachelors or Equivalent Work Experience, PMP Preferred
Computer literate with ability to learn new software applications
Proficient in Visio, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook (Project Online, Power BI, Dynamics CRM, Site core preferred)
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge in providing exceptional customer service
Minimum Years Experience: 0‐3 Years Project Management Experience
