DEFENDERS Talent Development Partner in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana
The Talent Development Partner position encompasses broad and diverse stakeholder management responsibilities for assigned business units including technical training programs/processes, individual talent development, and team development which support DEFENDERS’ key strategic objectives.
Builds strong partnerships with stakeholders and deliver value added support while mitigating risk.
Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, midrange plans, and company objectives.
Identifying trends in assigned business units, pro-actively addressing issues, and make recommendations for continued improvement.
Leads the communication and execution of talent development processes for assigned business units– including MyReview, Talent Reviews, High Potential Talent, and Succession Planning.
Partners with the Director, HR L&D in leading talent development initiatives for assigned business unit in the areas of change management, organizational culture, building leadership capacity, executive development, mentoring and coaching, team building and effectiveness, and engagement.
Coaches individual leadership development through the creation and support of targeted development plans. Facilitates leadership training or team building based on the needs of the business.
Evaluates leadership development effectiveness in assigned business unit and makes recommendations for improvements and oversees the tracking and measurement of the success of talent development initiatives; communicates results with key stakeholders.
Attends leadership and other meetings with functional leaders within assigned business unit to bring a talent perspective, influence, and impact business decisions.
Identifies strategies to retain top talent.
Communicates effectively and partners with with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and HR Partners to ensure collaboration across HR L&D.

Education: BS or BA in Human Resources, Business, Education or Management MS Preferred
Professional Experience: Proven experience in developing leaders and teams. Strong facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Years Experience: 4-7 years in Organizational Development/Leadership and Development/HR
