DEFENDERS Talent Management Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana
Enables the implementation of Talent Management strategy through the development and execution of programs and processes to ensure that Talent Management is a continuous and living process at DEFENDERS. Serves as a center of excellence for enterprise talent management processes.
In conjunction with HR Partners, develop DEFENDERS annual performance review process, ensuring that it’s simple and that team members are growing through the process. Ensures that talent management is a continuous and living process from performance reviews to talent reviews to meaningful IDPs.
Hold leaders, through providing a tool and process, accountable for development through DEFENDERS’ IDP (individual development plan) process.
In conjunction with HR Partners, develop annual talent review and succession management processes, aligning leaders and key stakeholders to ensure the process meets business objectives..
Lead the ongoing maintenance and useability of enterprise talent solutions such as the DLA board, LEP, LIT and success profiles (for assigned business unit in partnership with talent development team).
Manage the PDR process to ensure that team members maximize their development (aligned with their IDP).
Support the facilitation of enterprise talent development such as performance review training, culture day, etc.
Perform exit interviews with eligible talent to identify reasons for leaving; work with L&D team members and business partners to use data to make improvements in talent management processes.
Understand the needs of key stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables, develop and manage project plans and schedules, manage change associated with new processes and programs and create and define operational processes related to talent management.
Partner and collaborates with L&D team members (specifically talent development leads for business units) and business leaders to strengthen, implement and administer talent programs and processes to drive business performance.
Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent internal experience
Professional Experience: 2-4 years related experience in talent, HR, or L&D processes, programs, and systems
Talent Development : Has a passion for developing leaders
Physical Qualifications :
Physical presence in the office during work hours for impromptu meetings and access to information/data necessary for the position
Must be able to sit without interruption for up to 2 hours. May be required to sit 6-8 hours per day.
Vision must be sufficient to read text and view a computer monitor for 6-8 hours per day.
